Bulls' Rose to miss rest of season after successful knee surgery

Chicago, IL (SportsNetwork.com) - Chicago Bulls star guard Derrick Rose will miss the remainder of the season after having successful surgery Monday morning to repair a medial meniscus tear in his right knee.

Rose suffered the injury in the Bulls' 98-95 loss last Friday in Portland.

It's a sad story for the 25-year-old Memphis product, who missed all of last season while recovering from a torn ACL in his left knee.

In 10 games this season, Rose posted averages of 15.9 points, 4.3 assists and 3.2 rebounds.
